We are looking for dedicated summer substitutes for our kitchen and restaurant at the hospital area in Karlshamn.

Meal Service in Karlshamn is part of the service area within Region Blekinge. We work to develop and deliver support and service functions to operations within the region.

With us in Karlshamn, we are a team of 11 employees who together prepare about 400 portions daily in our KRAV-certified central kitchen. Our main task is to prepare meals for patients in care departments and visitors in the restaurant at the hospital in Karlshamn. We are passionate about sustainable meals and a health-promoting approach. We are now looking for summer substitutes for our operations.

About the Job

As a kitchen assistant with us, you will have a varied job where your main tasks are:

Preparing sandwiches and salads.
Unpacking and handling orders from suppliers.
Washing dishes, cleaning, and other common tasks in the kitchen.
Packing and transporting food items to departments.
Conducting self-checks and other kitchen-related tasks.

We apply rotation in the workplace, and all work is carried out according to our routines and self-control programs.

The summer substitute position lasts for about 10 weeks and includes an introduction. Working hours are scheduled during the day with scheduled weekend shifts. We prefer that you can work the entire period, but there is an opportunity to adapt to needs.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Is at least 18 years old at the start of employment.
Has an ongoing or completed education as a chef, cold kitchen worker, or equivalent education/documented experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
Has experience in food handling, self-control, and service (meritorious).
Is service-oriented and enjoys meeting people.
Has good collaboration skills and can adapt to different situations.
Fluently speaks and writes Swedish.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. We consider it meritorious if you have experience in food handling, self-control programs, and service.
